Jeremy Pizzala
Regional VP, Verizon Business |
Jeremy Pizzala is director security solutions - Asia-Pacific for Verizon Business and is responsible for leading the sales and professional services teams.
Prior to this, he worked as sales director for the Asia-Pacific region between 2000 and 2007 at security specialist Cybertrust. During this time, he helped to grow the business in this region, covering Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Pizzala established and developed regional business divisions and alliances in all of these countries to support the growth of the business. Key security areas covered included governace, risk, compliance and identity management.
He was also instrumental in the acquisiton and integration of Securenet and 90East into Cybertrust¡¯s Asia-Pacific operations. This gave Cybertrust the critical mass needed to expand and compete in the region. At Cybertrust, he focused heavily on the Japanese market, establishing a joint venture company with telecoms giant Softbank Group.
Pizzala brings extensive senior management experience to his role at Verizon Business. Before joining Cybertrust, he held senior positions in professional services for Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. His experience covers security, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems as well as operational risk services. Pizzala¡¯s understanding of security and risk is highlighted by his work with governments, financial institutions and corporate clients. He has also worked in senior positions in banking, finance and telecoms.
He holds an honours degree in Economics from the University of East Anglia, England. |

Stan Kang
Consulting Principal, Investigative Response, Verizon Business |
Stan Kang serves as a Consulting Principal for the Investigative Response practice at Verizon Business. In his role he is responsible for all customer-facing Incident Response, Computer Forensics, IT investigative work, and Litigation Support / eDiscovery for Verizon Business¡¯ Guaranteed Response Retainer customers. With over 10 years experience in the security arena, Kang has provided industry-leading services and support for both commercial and government organizations. His position covers Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and EMEA.
Prior to this, he was Principal of Investigative Response at security specialist Cybertrust. His role included acting as both practice manager and senior computer forensic examiner, managing more than 120 investigations per year. Kang has served as a trusted advisor to the United States Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and VISA USA. In addition to his role within incident response and forensics, Kang is also a VISA Qualified Data Security Professional and a licensed private investigator.
Kang has written articles on a number of security-related topics, ranging from evidence management, chain of custody, incident handling, and computer forensics. He is also a frequent course instructor and speaker on emerging incident trends and computer emergency response.
