Mario Morales

Mario Morales is the vice president of IDC's Semiconductors research program. He is responsible for in-depth analysis, evaluation, forecasting, and research of major semiconductor applications areas such as computing, communications, and consumer. In addition, Mr. Morales is responsible for analyzing overall semiconductor and memory market trends. Mr. Morales has more than eight years of experience in the semiconductor industry as a market, business, and strategic planning analyst. His career includes past positions with NEC Electronics and Dataquest Inc. His work covered areas such as short-term and midterm strategic planning (one to five years), market sizing, customer/competitor analysis, memory supply/demand trends, and capacity and pricing trends. In addition, he has built and maintained relationships with members of the press at major semiconductor-related print media (including EBN, EN, Electronics Components and newspapers such as The New York Times, IBD, and others) and with executives and planning managers at several semiconductor manufacturers and OEMs.

Shane Rau

| Shane Rau is a research manager in IDC¡¯s Semiconductor group where he provides market analysis on microprocessors, graphics processors, core logic chipsets, and memory for desktop PCs, mobile PCs, and the emerging consumer devices, such as Internet appliances. His coverage includes market sizing, forecasting, technology trends, vendor analysis, pricing trends, supply and demand analysis, and market share. Prior to joining IDC, Shane spent 8 years as a technical editor for PC World Magazine where he tracked the semiconductor industry, edited articles for technical accuracy, and supported a staff of 50 editors in article planning, presenting technical material, and data analysis. Shane holds a B.S. in Political Science from Swarthmore College. |

Soo-Kyoum Kim

Soo Kyoum Kim is the Program Director of IDC's Semiconductors research program. He is responsible for in-depth analysis, evaluation, forecasting, and research of memory semiconductor areas such as DRAM and Flash.
Mr.Kim has more than twelve years of experience in the semiconductor industry as a field-sales person, and marketing & strategic planning analyst. His career includes a memory marketing manager position with Samsung Electronics. His work covered areas such as short-term and midterm strategic planning (one to five years), market sizing, customer/competitor analysis, memory supply/demand trends, and capacity and pricing trends. In addition, he has built and maintained relationships with members of the press at major semiconductor-related print media (including EBN, EN, Electronics Components and newspapers like the Asian Wallstreet Jounal), WSTS(Worldwide Semiconductor Trade Statistics), and with executives and planning managers at several semiconductor manufacturers and OEMs. He was an owner of semiconductor program in the Asia Pacific region.
Mr. Kim earned a M.B.A. degree in business administration (International Business) at Seoul National University in Korea.
