Ken is a frequent speaker and advocate on the subject of information security trends, developments, technologies and best practices across more than 15 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. He specializes in intrusion prevention, defence-in-depth, security management and regulatory compliance. At 3Com, Ken leads security initiatives and advocates the need for Secure Converged Networks to enterprises, governments and industry groups.

Ken contributes to the Asia-Pacific press regularly and has been quoted by respectable media such as ZDNet Asia, CNET, Computerworld Singapore, The Australian, The Business Times (Singapore), Computerworld New Zealand, The Edge (Malaysia), ZDNet Korea, Sydney Morning Herald, The Jakarta Post, The Manila Times and ZDNet Japan. He is currently writing a book on security trends and best practices of Asia-Pacific governments, universities and enterprises and it will be published next year.

Mr Low has been in the IT security and telecommunications industry for the last 10 years. He holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), the GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) certifications and is an advisory board member of The SANS Institute, a prestigious information security research and training organization in the USA.

Dr. Keith White is Security Services Director for Asia Pacific and leads the Professional Security Services Consulting Practice team for Alcatel-Lucent.

Keith started his career with Telecom New Zealand as a Telecommunications Engineer in the mid-1970s. He then joined IBM as a Customer Engineer, commissioning and servicing computers for two years and he moved on to Rank Xerox as an engineer for five years. White took on the electronic security field in his work for Coca-Cola before joining Optus Communications as National Security Manager.

In 1994, Keith joined Cardax Systems as the Australian General Manager and was responsible for many successful marketing campaigns in Australia and Asia. He had concurrently worked on major security infrastructure projects with Australian and Asian universities. Keith¡¯s stint with Cardax Systems brought him to the US, where he had established Cardax Systems in the Pan-American market. He has also worked on defense security projects with the organizations such as the US Navy, United Airlines and Motorola. In 1999, Keith headed back to Australia and spearheaded major security infrastructure projects with the Australian Department of Defence, Qantas Airways, Lucent Technologies, AT&T and the Independent Commission Against Corruption. In addition, he has worked on the TA Orange Telecommunications account, developing their network and facilities security infrastructure in Thailand, right up to 2001.

White is highly regarded in academia and was awarded the Doctorate in Science, Technology Development, for his work on token-based encryption technologies.

Security and Privacy Services Executive - Asia Pacific, IBM Global Technology Services, IBM
Currently Praveen heads the Security and Privacy services for IBM Global Services in Asia Pacific. He is also responsible for enabling individual IBM personnel in each country to design and deploy similar solutions.

Praveen has also been involved in the writing of 2 Redbooks for IBM - Tivoli Global Signon and Websphere Express 5.0 for Linux and Windows 2000. In both the books, Praveen was primarily responsible for creating content specific to security related issues in a corporate and internet environment.

Praveen also works with the top management of various IBM customers across the Asia Pacific region for the development of their IT strategy from a disaster recovery planning, storage, security, Linux roadmap, software deployment, and data center architecture components.

Praveen is a Certified Ethical Hacker (part of the first 150 across Asia Pacific), a BS7799 lead auditor, a Certified Novell Engineer, an IBM certified Architect, and also holds a Masters Diploma in Computers

Soonyul Chang is the Analyst of Software research in IDC Korea, being responsible for in-depth research of software areas such as infrastructure management, security, operating system, and so on.

He transferred from the Consulting group in IDC Korea. He was responsible for managing customized consulting requirement from clients on IT service sector. His consulting areas include PC, Peripherals, Commercial Systems & Servers, Storage, Software, IT Services, Telecommunications & Data communications, and Internet. In his role, he coordinated consulting service with IDC regional & worldwide analysts.

Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Chnag was the Director of Consulting in EarlyExit for two years. His role was to identify, develop business strategy and fund the potential technology start-up companies; accelerate them to market; and prepare them for exit, and provide market research to define clients¡¯ potential market and develop their new business model. Prior to joining EarlyExit, Mr. Chang had managed a two-way business gateway between the U.S. and Korea as business-developing director of Korean Software Incubator (KSI), whose main role is to search, assess, develop, and provide facilities to enable small- and medium-sized Korean technology companies to launch their products and services in the U.S. market.

Previously, Mr. Chang worked for the technical consulting area and provided information technology consulting services to small and medium businesses in system integration of hardware, software and computer networking area

He has received a B.A. degree in Management Information System from the San Jose State University in San Jose, California.
